What To Synchronise

  • Calendar / To-do Items

Select this option to add your agenda information and to-do tasks to the synchronisation.

  • Contact Items

Select this option to add your contacts to the synchronisation.

Only the contacts stored in the phone’s internal memory are included in a synchronisation. If you have numbers stored in the SIM card only, you must first copy them to the phone’s internal memory in order to include them in the synchronisation. See the user’s guide of the phone for more information on storing names and numbers on the phone.

The contacts stored in your phone’s memory might include some custom fields that are not directly supported by Microsoft Outlook. Such custom fields include VoIP number, Video call number, and Push to talk number. When you synchronise your contact information between the phone and PC, the information in these fields is synchronised to the contact’s All Fields view in Microsoft Outlook. To view, add, edit or delete the information in such fields in Microsoft Outlook, open a contact and go to All Fields > User-defined fields in folder.

Note that if some specific fields, for example VoIP number, Video call number, and Push to talk number, are not visible in Microsoft Outlook’s All Fields view, your Microsoft Exchange Server administrator might have restricted the usage of these fields.

Also note that work mobile numbers are not available in Microsoft Outlook. Thus if you have saved a work mobile number for a contact on your device, the number will appear as a car phone number in Microsoft Outlook after you have synchronised your contacts.

  • Notes Items

Select this option to add notes items to the synchronisation. Note that this is only available for Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Organizer.

  • E-mail Items

Select this option to add your e-mails to the synchronisation. Note that e-mail synchronisation is not available for Lotus Organizer.

  • Bookmark Items or Bookmarks and RSS Feeds

Select this option to add your bookmarks and RSS feeds to the synchronisation depending on what your phone supports. Bookmarks and RSS feeds can be synchronised between a Nokia mobile phone and a supported web browser. Note that bookmark and RSS feed synchronisation is not available for all phone models.

  • File and Folder Items

Select this option to add files and folders to the synchronisation. Files and folders can be synchronised between a Nokia mobile phone and a PC. Note that file synchronisation is not available for all phone models.
