Defining the operation after storing

Manual storing

Select the Erase images and videos from the phone option if you want the files to be removed from your phone after they have been stored on the PC. This option is not selected by default.

If you choose to erase the images and videos from your phone, Image Store asks for confirmation during file storing before actually removing the files from the phone. Answer No to the confirmation question if you do not want the files erased from the phone. Please note that in this case, too, the Erase images and videos from the phone option in the settings wizard remains selected for future storing sessions.

Note:

Your phone’s Graphics folder contains image files that can be used, for example, as wallpapers. The first time that you store images from your phone to the PC, the image files, too, are stored on the PC. Thus it is recommended that you do not select the Erase images and videos from the phone option in the Image Store settings wizard during the first storing session.

Select the View images and videos option if you want to view the files after storing. This option is selected by default. You can choose to view the files in Windows Explorer or Windows Media Player by selecting the corresponding option. If any of these applications is not installed on your PC, it is not listed under the View images and videos option.

Note:

Videos cannot be viewed in Windows Media Player. Select Windows Explorer if you store videos and want to view them after storing.

Automatic storing

Select the Start image storing automatically when I connect my phone to the PC option if you want Image Store to start the storing of images and videos automatically each time you connect your phone to the PC.

In automatic storing, the images and videos are not opened automatically for viewing. Also note that if you have selected the Erase images and videos from the phone option, confirmation is not requested to remove the files from the phone after they have been stored on the PC.
