Nokia Software Updater
Nokia Software Updater allows you to update your phone software over the Internet using your PC. By regularly updating your phone software, you can get additional functionality and improved performance for your phone, or fix a potential operation problem you may have.
Nokia Software Updater is available for selected Nokia phones at www.nokia.com/softwareupdate. Supported products are listed on the main page, and new products are added regularly. Nokia Software Updater offers the same updates you would receive at a Nokia Service Center.
To use the service for the first time

Go to the Nokia PC Suite main window and click the Update phone software link. The Nokia Software Updater download begins.

Install the Nokia Software Updater installation file on your PC.

To update your phone software, click the Update phone software icon in the Nokia PC Suite main window. Note that personal data (contacts, messages, images and so on) stored in the phone memory may be deleted during the update, depending on the phone model you are using. It is recommended that you back up this data to your PC using the Nokia Content Copier application in Nokia PC Suite (or to a memory card if supported by your phone model) before updating your phone software.
You only need to download and install the Nokia Software Updater installation file once. Afterwards you can start the application by clicking the Update phone software icon in the Nokia PC Suite main window.
Nokia PC Suite checks the Nokia Software Updater web pages at regular intervals and displays a notification when a new phone software version is available for your phone model. The notification is displayed if your phone is connected to the PC via USB cable or Bluetooth wireless technology. Click the notification in the PC Suite main window to download the new software version.
