Nokia Ovi Player
Nokia Ovi Player enables you to rip music from a CD, create and edit playlists, transfer music tracks and playlists between your PC and mobile. Nokia Ovi Player also enables you to access Ovi Music, where you can listen to 30 second previews of tracks before you buy, and download music to your compatible music phone or your PC.
Nokia Ovi Player is available at www.nokia.com/music. Compatible Nokia mobiles are listed and new products are added regularly. System requirements are also listed.
To download and install Nokia Ovi Player on your PC
Go to the Nokia PC Suite main window and click the Explore music link.
In the file download window that opens, click Run to download and start the installation straight away. If you want to save the application on your PC and start the install later, choose Save. You will then need to browse to the file and double-click on it to run it.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
When the installation is complete, you can start using Nokia Ovi Player by clicking the Explore music icon in the Nokia PC Suite main window.
Previous versions of Nokia PC Suite included the Nokia Music Manager application. If you have used Nokia Music Manager to convert music files to mobile optimised format, you can continue using the files with Nokia Ovi Player.
When transferring music between a PC and your mobile via USB cable connection, select Media Transfer as the connection mode on your phone. Note that the Media Transfer connection mode is not available on all Nokia mobiles.
To transfer music between your phone and a PC using USB cable connection in the Media Transfer mode, you need to have Windows Media Player 10 (or newer) installed on your PC. Windows Media Player includes an MTP driver, which is required for transferring music in the Media Transfer mode.
